Steyer for Governor - sticker program

Give onesticker.Let donorspay for the rest.

Overview

A free sticker, then an ask for the full set.

Most list-building asks give supporters nothing back. Steyer for Governor had five sticker designs people wanted, so we built the offer around them: pick one, share a mailing address, and it ships free.

Right after someone claimed a free sticker, we asked them to donate for all five. The free sticker brought in new people. Donations for the full set paid for the free ones.

We ran it like a direct response program. The page ran in several landing variants, and each traffic source carried its own links, so the campaign could see which channels brought requests and which brought donors. Behind the form, we built what an off-the-shelf form can't do: an ActBlue webhook that counts each donation once, deduplication that holds each person to one free sticker, and batch exports that give the printer a clean list of packs and singles every run.
